Black Chickpea Dosa Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup black chickpeas (kala chana), soaked overnight
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/4 cup urad dal flour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Drain and rinse the soaked black chickpeas.
- In a blender or food processor, grind the black chickpeas to a smooth paste.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the black chickpea paste, rice flour, urad dal flour and salt. Mix well to form a smooth batter.
- Cover the bowl and let the batter ferment for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, take a ladleful of the batter and pour it onto the pan.
- Spread the batter evenly to form a dosa.
- Drizzle some oil around the edges of the dosa.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
- Carefully flip the dosa and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with chutney or sambar.
