Ingredients:

  • 500g Okra/Ladyfingers
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2-3 dried red chilies
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Wash and trim the ends of the okra. Cut them into 1/2 inch pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and dried red chilies. Once they start to splutter, add the okra and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the okra is tender.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
