Desi Style Crispy Chicken Fried Rice | Chicken Fried Rice | Chicken Egg Fried Rice

Desi Style Crispy Chicken Fried Rice, also known as Chicken Fried Rice or Chicken Egg Fried Rice, is a popular Indian-style fried rice dish made with chicken, eggs, and a variety of spices. It is a simple and delicious one-pot meal that can be served as a main dish or as a side dish with a variety of curries or gravies.

Here is a basic recipe for Desi Style Crispy Chicken Fried Rice:


  • 2 cups of cooked basmati rice
  • 1 lb of boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp of red chili powder
  • 1 tsp of garam masala powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp of oil
  • 2-3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)


  1. In a pan, heat oil, add the chicken and sauté it until it’s cooked through.
  2. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  3. In the same pan, add more oil and sauté the onion and garlic until they turn translucent.
  4. Add the beaten eggs and scramble them until they are set.
  5. Add the cooked chicken, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Stir well and cook for a minute.
  6. Add the cooked rice and stir well.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the rice is heated through.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.


  • You can use any kind of rice you like, basmati or any other long-grain rice.
  • You can also add some vegetables such as peas, carrots, or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
  • You can also add some cashews, raisins, or saffron for extra flavor and texture.
  • You can also add some lemon juice or yogurt to balance out the flavors.
