Rajgira Ladoo is a popular sweet treat made from rajgira flour (amaranth flour), ghee, sugar, and nuts. These round balls are typically enjoyed during religious festivals or as a sweet snack. Here is a basic recipe for making Rajgira Ladoo:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rajgira flour
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews)
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
Instructions:
- In a pan, heat ghee and add rajgira flour. Roast the flour on low flame, stirring continuously until it turns golden brown.
- Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the roasted rajgira flour and mix well.
- Turn off the heat and add chopped nuts. Mix well.
- Take small portions of the mixture and roll into small balls (ladoo).
- Allow the ladoos to cool completely and then store in an airtight container.
Note: You can adjust the amount of sugar to suit your taste, also you can add some dry fruits powder or saffron strands for added flavor.
