Ingredients for crust:

  • 1 cup water chestnut flour
  • 1/2 cup Rajgira flour
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Ingredients for rabri filling:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, cashews, or pistachios)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the water chestnut flour, Rajgira flour, ghee, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth dough.
  2. Press the dough evenly into a 9-inch tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the crust for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. In a pan, bring the milk to a simmer over medium heat and add sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens, about 20-25 minutes.
